DOHA: A parliament member of Oman has come forward to buy the bisht or cloak gifted to Lionel Messi by Qatari Emir Shiekh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani during the World Cup championship celebrations.

Oman parliament member Ahmad Al Barwani is willing to pay any amount of money to get his hands on the bisht, which is a traditional cloak worn throughout the Arabian world. This is used where Arabian culture is followed.

It is believed that the move to buy the bisht is to keep the golden moment of victory in the hands of an Arabian country.

The Omani parliament member in a tweet said that it must be hard for Messi to keep it safe. If it is given to him the bisht will be kept as an eternal memorial and that he is willing to pay $1 million.
