THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan harshly criticized the party for not taking action against LDF convenor E P Jayarajan in the resort controversy. Satheesan said that it is a serious corruption and demanded an investigation.

A UDF meeting will be convened in Ernakulam on December 30. The matter will be discussed in detail at the meeting. Kept mum thinking that Christmas day is not the time to talk about such a bad thing. Satheesan asked why the CPM hid the issue since 2019. Why didn’t M V Govindan intervene in the matter. The opposition leader also clarified that this is not an internal matter of the party.

Meantime, LDF convenor E P Jayarajan who attended the KSTA programme in Kannur gave a smile to the repeated questions of the media on the controversial issue. He enumerated the achievements of the party and the administration in his speech.

Muslim League leader K M Shaji demanded a probe in the controversy. Shaji said that it was Pinarayi who decided to clip the wings of E P Jayarajan and the complaint was as per the directive of him. BJP state chief K Surendran also responded that the allegation against EP is not just an intra-party dispute. He added that the corruption committed during his tenure as a minister is now coming to light.
