KOTTAYAM: The row over omitting senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy's picture from the poster of an UDF event came to blows. The veteran leader was omitted from the poster of the buffer zone protest rally which culminated in a fight between the Youth Congress district secretaries.

Manu Kumar, a supporter of Oommen Chandy, was allegedly beaten up in the incident. The injured Manu Kumar says that he was beaten up by DCC office secretary Libin Isaac. After the incident, Manu Kumar was admitted to a hospital.

Oommen Chandy was left out of the poster and there was a dispute even in the WhatsApp group. Manu Kumar says that he questioned the omission of the leader. According to Manu Kumar, the DCC president later called and informed that he will decide the DCC matters and Manu should not interfere in it. Manu Kumar accuses Libin of beating him up this morning by questioning whether he has got the audacity to question the DCC president. Allegedly, he was also attacked with stones.
