The Censor Board has suggested to make some changes in the upcoming film ‘Pathaan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. They are also advised to implement certain changes including in songs of the film. Chairman Prasoon Joshi informed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has directed the producer Yash Raj Films to submit a new version after making changes.
“CBFC is always committed to find the right balance between creative expression and sensibility of the audience and believe that we can always find solution through meaningful dialogue between all stakeholders. Whilst the process is getting duly followed and implemented, I must reiterate that our culture and faith is glorious, intricate and nuanced.”, Mr Joshi said.
The song ‘Besharam Rang’ from the film was released recently. Deepika wore a saffron dress in the song. Along with this, the actress' other appearances also caused controversy. Following this, some organizations came forward demanding to boycott the film.
Siddharth Anand is the director of the movie. John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Shaji Chaudhary and Ashutosh Rane are also starring in the film. ‘Pathaan’ is also Shah Rukh Khan's film which is hitting the theatres after a gap of four years. The movie will be released on January 25.
