NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi violated security guidelines many times during Bharat Jodo Yatra's Delhi tour, CRPF said. The CRPF was replying to the Congress's allegation of failure to provide security for the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Rahul Gandhi. The force also pointed out that since 2020, Rahul has violated security guidelines 113 times.

Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal had written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah alleging that the Delhi Police had completely failed to provide security to Rahul during the Bharat Jodo Yatra held on December 24. Since entering Delhi, there have been several lapses in security for the Yatra. The letter pointed out that the police had completely failed to provide adequate protection to Rahul Gandhi, who is assigned Z+ security.

Rahul Gandhi is being provided security by the state police and other agencies. Two days before the tour on December 24, the security agencies had a meeting. All security guidelines were strictly followed on the day of the trip. The CRPF added that the Delhi Police had informed that sufficient personnel had been deployed.
