More than 5 lakh transactions done through E-Treasury

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Online treasury, till now, have completed 5.13 lakh transactions. The online system implemented at Treasury, since July, has made transactions very easy. The greatest number of transactions occurred in December with 2.09 lakh transactions.

When the challan is paid, the treasury used to write the copy of the receipt on the book and the original was given to the payer. The amount would be written in the cash register at the office. When the money is paid online, the receipt will be sent as SMS to the mobile number of the transactor. Those who do not have a mobile phone, the printout of the receipt will be given.

When the payment is done through QR code or UPI payment the e-challan will be sent to mobile as SMS.
