CM poorest in cabinet, has assets of only Rs 75 lakh, has 12 cows

PATNA: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is the poorest in the cabinet. He has assets of only Rs 75 five lakhs. Most of the members of the cabinet are richer than the chief minister. The chief minister has immovable properties worth Rs 58.85 lakh. The chief minister and his colleagues declared their assets the other day.

The chief minister has Rs 28,135 in his hand, Rs 50,000 in bank accounts and has jewellery worth over Rs 1 lakh. He has 12 cows and 10 calves. Food and Consumer Protection Minister Lesy Singh owns immovable properties worth more than one crore. She has a rifle, 12-bore gun, 10 plots of land worth Rs 1.5 crore. Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha has assets worth crores including fixed deposits of Rs 5.25 crore in his wife’s name.

Industries Minister Samir Kumar Mahaseth has a net worth of more than Rs 7 crore. Education Minister Chandrashekhar has assets worth Rs 1.96 crore. Backward Classes Welfare Minister Anita Devi has assets worth Rs 1.24 crore. She has agricultural land worth Rs one crore. Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni has assets worth Rs 2.58 crore.

Building Minister Ashok Chaudhary has assets worth Rs 4.42 crore. Arts and Culture Minister Jitendra Rai owns land and house worth Rs 3.65 crore. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in his delaration said that he paid over Rs 3 lakh as income tax. The deputy chief minister has an investment of Rs 5,30,000 in bonds and stocks.
