THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Administrative Tribunal (KAT) cancelled the appointment of Law College Principals. The appointment of Principals of Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Thrissur Law Colleges has been cancelled.
The Kerala Administrative Tribunal pointed that the principals were appointed without following the UGC norms. Some qualified for the post filed pleas questioning the appointment of the principals.
The Administrative Tribunal directed that the government should be prepared to form a selection committee and make appointments as per the UGC norms. The cancellation of the appointment of principals comes amid disputes over the appointment of vice-chancellors in the state.
