LUCKNOW: A 13-year-old Class 8 student gets love letter from 47-year-old teacher of a government school in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj. Later, the police registered a case against the teacher on the complaint of the student's parents.

The teacher began the letter with the student’s name saying that he love her very much. He also wrote in the love letter that he would 'miss' her a lot during the school holidays. He further wrote that if she gets a chance, she should call him and asked her to come and meet him before vacation. If she really loves him, she will definitely come.”, he wrote. The teacher then added that he will always love her and told not to show the letter to anyone else and to tear it up after reading it.

But the girl told her parents about the letter and later the parents filed a complaint against the teacher. The parents say that when they inquired about the incident and asked the teacher to apologise, he did not listen and instead threatened them of dire consequences. The parents also complained that the he told them that he will make the girl disappear.

The police said that a case has been registered based on the complaint of the girl’s parents and the investigation has been started. The district education officer informed that a committee has been formed to investigate the incident and strict action will be taken against the teacher. The teachers' union has also stated that strict action will be taken if the teacher is found guilty.
