Steered a truck to engagement. Delisha's story hits viral again

KANJANY: Delisha Davis, the Thrissur native who once grabbed headlines for transporting hazardous cargo is back again in news for a rather surprising move. The tanker lorry driver steered her truck with her fiancé Henson to reach the marriage hall for Reception. Both Delisha and Henson work as truck cargo drivers offshore.

From childhood, Delisha developed a liking for driving and she approached no better one than her father, a former truck driver to help her teach driving heavy vehicles. Soon enough her dream got fulfilled and the 24-year-old caught headlines after ferrying 8000 liters of petrol from Ernakulam to Tirur in the Malappuram district. After the news got viral, companies from the gulf approached Delisha with lucrative offers. She now drives a truck for a german company in the gulf. It is through a wedding bureau that Delish found Henson. There was only one condition Delisha cared to put forward to her parents to select her to-be husband — only a Truck driver.
