Lovers end life hanging with same rope due to opposition from parents to their marriage

LUCKNOW: An unmarried couple were found hanging from a single rope in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. An eighteen-year-old girl and her twenty-two-year-old boyfriend did the extreme as the parents opposed their wedding.

The family had a plan to marry off the girl to someone else. On Friday night, the young man called the girl and asked to see her. They decided to end their lives after allegedly failing to convince their parents.

"The bodies have been sent for autopsy to ascertain the reason of death. The report is awaited. As of now, both the families have not levelled any allegation against each other.", police said.
