MUMBAI: 10 people died in a collision between a luxury bus and a truck in Maharashtra. The police informed that the condition of 17 people is very serious and the deaths are likely to rise. The accident took place on the Nashik-Shirdi highway at 7 am today. Seven women were among the dead. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
The bus was carrying 45 passengers from Ambernath in Thane to Shirdi. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
