JALANDHAR: Congress MP collapsed and died during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Santokh Singh Chaudhary, MP from Jalandhar, died of a heart attack during the yatra in Punjab. He was 76.
He collapsed while attending the yatra at Jalandhar in Punjab, Saturday morning. Though he was rushed to a hospital in Phagwara, his life could not be saved. The Bharat Jodo Yatra has been temporarily suspended.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said Chaudhary's death is a "great blow to the party and organization".
"Deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the untimely passing away of our MP, Shri Santokh Singh Chaudhary. His loss is a great blow to the party and organization. In this hour of grief, my heart goes out to his family, friends and followers. May his soul rest in peace," he tweeted.
