ABU DHABI: A rare comet that is visible only once in 50,000 years was seen in the sky of Abu Dhabi. The comet was spotted early Saturday morning, informed the International Astronomy Centre. The visuals of the comet were shared on social media.

Comet 2022 E3 will be visible from Earth for the first time in 50,000 years. Comet 2022 E3 appeared at magnitude 6.5 and 307 degrees away from the Sun. Officials have clarified that those who couldn’t see the comet on Saturday can use the opportunity from February 1 to 5. Experts have informed that it is not possible to clearly predict the brightness of the comet, so binoculars and telescopes can be used in cases where it is not visible to the naked eye.
