Swiggy delivery agent falls and dies while escaping from German Shepherd

HYDERABAD: A Swiggy delivery agent died in Hyderabad after falling from the third floor of the building while he was escaping from a German Shepherd. Mohd Rizwan (23) died after falling from the third floor of Lumbini Rock Castle Apartments in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The incident happened on January 11.

Police said when Rizwan came to the customer’s house to deliver food, their German Shepherd, pounced on him. Rizwan tried to jump off a railing but slipped and fell suffering critical head injuries. The owner of the dog took Rizwan to the hospital but he died yesterday while undergoing treatment. A case of causing death due to negligence under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered.
