Students made to stand on road for hours for being late to school

ALAPPUZHA: Some students were made to stand outside for being late by five minutes. The school authorities locked the gate after making them stand outside. The incident happened at St Aloysius School at Edathua in Alappuzha. Nearly 25 students stood on the road for hours. However, principal Mathukutty Varghese said they are regular late comers.

The bell rings at 9 in the morning. Children who arrive till 9.10 am were permitted to enter their classes. The principal responded that the students who roam around without entering the classes were made to stand outside. The students were allowed to enter after their parents came forward.
