Car flees after hitting woman in broad daylight; police fail to trace car even after getting CCTV visuals

KOTTAYAM: A car fled without stopping after hitting a woman pedestrian. The car did not stop even after the victim Sneha Omanakuttan of Kallara fell on to the ground. The CCTV visuals of the incident have surfaced.

The accident happened in Pala bypass yesterday afternoon at 1 pm. The car hit her when she was crossing the road near Marian Hospital. Sneha went flying in the air and then fell on the ground owing to the impact. However, the car fled without stopping. Sneha has fractured her hand. Although she filed a complaint, the police could not trace the vehicle.
