Argument over taking care of mother, middle-aged man tries to kill sister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A middle-aged man who tried to hack his sister to death has been arrested. The incident happened at Bharathannur near Pangode station. The victim is Sheela (49) of Kannambra. The Pangode police has taken her brother Sathyan into custody.

The locals rushed Sheela, who sustained injuries in the attack, to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. She sustained injuries on her neck, legs and hands. He attacked her following a verbal dispute over the protection of their mother Kunji.
