Disciplinary action against all officials in Mangalapuram police station; Six including SHO suspended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Strict action was taken against the officials in Mangalapuram police station in the capital city after their links between sand mafia and goons have been proved. Disciplinary action was taken against 31 out of the 32 officials. 25 including the sub inspector have been transferred. With this, only those in sweeper posts remain in the station.

Six police officers have been suspended in disciplinary proceedings. Disciplinary action was taken by rural police superintendent D Shilpa. SHO Sajesh was suspended the other day for his links with the goons. Apart from this, Anoop Kumar, Sudhi Kumar, Jayan, Gopakumar and Kumar have been suspended. 25 officers have been replaced.
