Sexual harassment allegations against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh: Olympic Association forms seven-member committee to conduct probe

NEW DELHI: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has formed a seven-member committee to investigate the sexual harassment allegations against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The committee consists of Mary Kom, Dola Banerjee, Alaknanda Ashok, Yogeshwar Dutt, Sahdev Yadav and two lawyers.

Earlier the protesting wrestlers had announced that they will continue their protest till their demands, including the dissolution of WFI, were accepted. Following this, the central government came out with a consensus move. Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and others participated in the meeting with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.
