Two children drowned while swimming with family, incident in Ernakulam district

KOCHI: A dip into the waters in Pooyamkutty backwaters along with family members turned into a death call for two children.Kuttampuzha natives Alimon (17) and Abidali (13) drowned to death while swimming in the waters along with family members.

After seeing the children trembling down the waters, relatives who knew the waters well jumped in rescue. Both of them were shifted to nearby hospitals but were declared dead. The body is safely kept in Kothamangalam taluk hospital. After postmortem procedures, the body will be returned to the family.
