100 years rigorous imprisonment for the accused who sexually abused a minor

PATHANAMTHITTA: Binu who is a native of Kaithakkara, Pramadom was given the sentence by Pathanamthitta POSCO court. Court fined him an amount of two and a half lakhs that should be handed over to the girl. If he is serving the sentence together, still Binu should spend 80 years in prison.

The incident happened in 2020. The girl was abused when she visited the relatives who were Binu's neighbors. The relatives enquired about what happened when the girl got pregnant and it came out that she was abused. Binu went absconding after a formal complaint was filed. In the investigation that followed it was Pathanamthitta Vanitha police who arrested the accused. Police filed the case on the grounds of kidnap and abuse.
