THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The court has remanded Youth League general secretary PK Firos, who was arrested earlier by the police in connection with the clash that took place during the secretariat march. It was the Vanchiyur court that remanded Firoz for 14 days.

The Cantonment Police arrested PK Firos today at around 12:30 pm after the Youth League's march against the state government turned violent. The police filed the case on non-bailable charges such as destroying public and private property, holding a secretariat march without permission, attacking policemen, and creating a traffic jam. Meanwhile, PK Firos responded that the arrest was part of the government's political vendetta and that the Youth League would not back down from the strike.
