Post-mortem report says woman strangled daughter Sreenanda to death

KASARGOD: In the incident where a woman and her daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kundamkuzhi, it is concluded that the mother strangled her daughter to death. Marks of a rope were found around Sreenanda's neck. The post-mortem report also revealed that the child died of strangulation. The police will record the statements of their relatives today.

13-year-old Sreenanda and her mother Narayani were found dead inside their house on Sunday. Narayani was found hanging from the window and her daughter was found dead in the bedroom. There was foam on Sreenanda’s mouth.

Narayani was a mentally ill person. The cause of death is unclear. The incident took place when her husband Chandran, a tourist bus driver, had gone to Ooty as part of his job.
