Youth held for slashing woman’s neck in broad daylight in Kochi

KOCHI: A woman in Kochi was attacked in broad daylight. The incident happened at Rays Travel Agency at Ravipuram in Kochi Tuesday afternoon. Following a dispute related to a visa, Jolly James of Palluruthi attacked Surya of Thodupuzha.

Jolly had paid the owner of the travels an amount of Rs one lakh for a visa. As he did not get it even after a long time, he asked them to return the money. However, when he did not get the money, he reached the agency with the intention of killing the owner. As the owner was not there at that time, he attacked a woman of the agency. Surya, who sustained injuries on her neck, ran to the nearby hotel. In the meanwhile, the police who reached the spot took her to the hospital and then took him into custody.
