We should move forward accepting the Constitution, women should be given more space in building the nation: President Murmu

NEW DELHI: Extending greetings to people on the eve of 74th Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu has said that India's journey has inspired many other nations and every citizen has reason to be proud of the Indian story. She said that the nation is celebrating its achievements so far. In the message, the President said that the nation is on a journey of development and it is the duty of the citizen to accept the Constitution and move forward.

She also praised the central government for ensuring food security for poor families during the Covid period. The President also said that more space should be given to women in building the nation. She also appreciated the soldiers who are guarding the borders.

Draupadi Murmu said that the G20 presidency is an opportunity for India to nurture democracy and pluralism and shape a better world and future. Through India's leadership, a more sustainable and equitable world can be built, she said.
