One killed in collision between lorry and car, 'Nano' car completely destroyed due to impact

KOZHIKODE: A man died in a collision between a container lorry and a Nano car near Elokkara in Puthuppadi. The deceased has been identified as Shafeeq (46), a native of Kuttipala in Malappuram's Chelampra and a resident of Puthankunnu Venkaringadakkadu in Sultan Bathery's Kodathippadi. He was driving the car.

Shafeeq was seriously injured in the accident and was admitted to Tamarassery Taluk Hospital and later to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, but his life could not be saved. Shafiq was the lone passenger in the car. The car came from Wayanad area towards Kozhikode before it collided with a lorry coming in the opposite direction. The Nano car was completely destroyed in the impact.
