Unni Mukundan is on cloud nine over the huge success of his latest movie Malikappuram. In an interview with a private channel, the actor opened up about his life in Gujarat. The actor lived a major part of his childhood in Gujarat before heading south to Kerala. Unni recalled an incident of flying kites along with the then chief minister Narendra Modi. He was studying in eighth grade when Modi came near the kids to fly kites in Uttarayan. The actor reveals that he was stunned when the man next to him flying kites was elected as the prime minister of India in 2014. Unni revealed his liking for Modi and his only grief is not having a picture of the kite incident to share. Unni says both Gujarat and Kerala are poles apart in politics. The former thrives in business and infrastructure while Kerala gets its share of accolades for its educational sector. He said the common people in both states are genuine enough to lead peaceful lives.
