THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: M Shivashanakr has informed ED about his unavailability tomorrow for a questioning session. Shivashankar mailed ED to inform his inconvenience, as tomorrow is the final day in service for the former principal secretary of the chief minister. The ED has asked Shivashankar to report to the Kochi office for clearing doubts regarding the dubious life -Mission project that is alleged to be mired in corruption.
Earlier, Unitac owner Santhosh Eapan revealed to ED the RS 4.8 crore bribe given to Shivashankar for getting a contract in the government's life mission scheme. The money was for getting a contract for building an apartment in Vadakkanchery. Adding fuel to the fire, UAE consulate staff Swapna Suresh earlier opened to the ED about Rs 6 crore bribe given to Shivashankar. She also said that Shivanshar made intrusions to make the contract go in favor of Unitac. Considering the unavailability due to retirement, the ED will decide on a date and inform Shivashankar accordingly.
