Gangs who flaunted machetes at police arrested in dramatic style

KOLLAM: Gangs who attacked police with machetes near Infopark in Kochi have been dramatically arrested. Two police officials were injured in the attack. For the past four days, these gangs were on the run. During that arrest, CPOs Darwin and Rajesh got injured after the gangs used wood planks to thrash the police force. Shyju aka Chingiri Shyju is the brainchild of the gang and the other three were arrested from Shyju's home. A case of murder has been charged against the assailants. On 28 January, when the police came for arrest, the gangs brandished machetes and jumped into a nearby river, and escaped.
