Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi killings were accidental deaths, ‘martyrdom’ not monopoly of Gandhi family, says BJP minister

ganesh-joshi

DEHRADUN: The killings of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were accidental deaths, said Uttarakhand Minister Ganesh Joshi. Nobody killed the two and martyrdom is not a monopoly of Gandhi family, he said.

‘India's struggle for Independence saw the martyrdoms of Bhagat Singh, Sawarkar and Chandra Shekhar Azad. Martyrdom is not a monopoly of Gandhi family. What happened with the members of the Gandhi family were accidents. There is a difference between accidents and martyrdom,’ he said.

Rahul Gandhi had earlier opened up about the situation where he had to hear the news of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi's deaths over the phone. Modi and Amit Shah will not be able to understand that pain, he said at the concluding speech during the end of his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar.
