CM’s European visit increased interest of international agencies and investors, 10 crores in first phase for initial activities

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister K N Balagopal said in the assembly that the interest of international agencies and investors in the state has increased through chief minister's visit to Europe and further activities. The finance minister while presenting the budget mentioned the things that happened during chief minister’s visit to Finland, Norway, UK, Wales etc. The chief minister held discussions with experts working in various fields such as education, industry, social security schemes, entrepreneurship, disaster management and tourism in these countries.


The finance minister informed that the government has decided to start academic research and studies in collaboration with the academic institutions of the countries and to adopt the best practices that will help Kerala for this. He also announced that a corpus fund of Rs 10 crore has been set aside under the planning and implementation department.
