Five Indians find place in Sachin Tendulkar's World cup XI while Dhoni fails to make it

NEW DELHI: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has revealed his 2019 World cup XI in which five Indian players found place. However, former skipper MS Dhoni failed to find a spot in the master’s XI.

While New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson was selected as the skipper, the team also has Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah representing India.

The team has Rohit and Johny Bairstow as openers followed by Kohli, Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Stokes and Hardik Pandya at numbers 4, 5, 6 and 7 respectively. According to Tendulkar, Jadeja and Shakib will lead the spin department while the pace attack comprises Mitchell Starc, Joffra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah.

However, the absence of MS Dhoni has raised some eyebrows among Indian fans while cricket experts have the opinion that Dhoni was not at his best in the tournament.
