INDORE: South Africa defeated India by 49 runs in the third match of T20I series.

Chasing a huge target of 228 runs, India faced heavy setbacks in the beginning. Rohit Sharma got out on the second ball without scoring runs, followed by Shreyas Iyer (1). Pant (27) was dismissed while he and Dinesh Karthik were trying to build up the score quickly. Karthik got out for 46 runs in 21 balls while facing the South African bowlers with smashing shots. Karthik's innings include four fours and a six.

But after they got dismisssed, the Indian batsmen were unable to stay at the crease longer. Deepak Chahar (31 off 17 balls) and Umesh Yadav (20 off 17 balls) were the only ones who stayed at the crease for a while. India's struggle ended on 178 runs as Mohammad Siraj was dismissed with nine balls to spare. Pretorius who replaced Norquay in the team today, took three wickets conceding only 26 runs in 3 overs. Keshav Maharaj took two wickets. Wayne Parnell and Lungi Ngidi also gained wickets for South Africa.

Rilee Rossouw (100 off 48 balls) who scored a century earlier, Quinton de Kock who scored 68 runs off 43 balls and David Miller who scored 19 runs off just five balls gave South Africa a huge total.
