LONDON: England beat New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup final as the match went into a Super Over after both teams ended with the same score of 241, here Sunday. Both teams scored 15 runs each in the Super Over as well, but the number of boundaries made England the winners-their maiden World Cup trophy.
New Zealand scored 241 for eight after opting to bat and hosts England were all out for exact score in the last ball of their innings.
