Man arrested in Saudi Arabia for harassing Korean band at airport

RIYADH: The police have arrested a man who harassed the members of a Korean band who came to perform a concert in Saudi Arabia. The Korean pop band arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in the K-CON festival, which includes Korean cultural exhibitions, cultural events and market stalls. According to sources, the Saudi police took action against a youth who verbally abused the Korean band at the airport.

A video of the accused shouting at the K-pop band had circulated on social media. After checking the video, the Riyadh police clarified that the youth used phrases that hurt public morals against the band members.

The police have registered a case against the accused and handed him over to the public prosecution. The K-Con Festival, which started on September 30, is attended by many local and foreign music fans.
