Son becomes millionaire in one day after finding his late father's old passbook

CHILE: Nobody can foretell how or when luck will arrive and sometimes miracles happen in one night. That is exactly what happened to a Chilean man named Exequiel Hinojosa.

Hinojosa's luck came when he received his deceased father's passbook and how he got hold of the passbook is more interesting.He got the passbook while cleaning his deceased father's old collection. Hinojosa was surprised to see the account balance printed in the passbook

The account had 140,000 pesos which is about 10 crore rupees. It was the money his father had saved to buy a nice house. No one knew that his father, who died ten years ago, had such an account or investment. But Hinojosa approached the court and demanded money after the bank with the deposit stopped functioning. The law was also in his favour because the passbook had the state guarantee emblem.

After legal battles, the Supreme Court ruled in Hinojosa's favour. The Supreme Court also asked to pay interest and other benefits along with the investment amount.
