THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that we who survived Nipah virus and Ockhi cyclone can stand together and gain our state back to its former state. CM was giving his resolution speech in the assembly.

“The activities are ongoing in such a way that we can overcome the disaster easily. We should move forward surviving the disaster. We should be able to stand with our heads held high. We should join our hands with those who love and support us. We should stand united. That is the basis of survival”, said the chief minister.

The CM said that Kerala has faced a flood that comes only once in hundred years caused by unprecedented rains. 483 people have died and about 14 are reported missing. 140 people were hospitalised following injuries.

CM also said that the Second phase of the rehabilitation process is progressing successfully.
