THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the centre has limitations for helping Kerala to face the disaster due to floods. He also said that the centre cannot compensate all the losses suffered by Kerala. The chief minister was talking at an event felicitating IAS officers who acted efficiently during floods.
“Kerala had demanded a special package from the centre. The state has to find the additional amount. When help was sought, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh had expressed their emotions from the heart. I still hope that the centre will sanction more aid”, said the Chief Minister.
“Rebuilding Kerala is a huge challenge. The people believe in this government. In this situation, the reconstruction process should be completed within a certain time limit. The help from consultancy for reconstruction works are totally free”, said Pinarayi Vijayan.
