THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said people are suffering as prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas are getting increased day by day. “This will worsen inflation. Essential things are not available in shops after floods. The price-hike in this situation will affect the people badly”, said Chennithala in a statement.
“Kerala always suffers the most from a fuel price-hike as it is a consumer state. Cost of food will be increased as the price of gas cylinder gets increased for the consumer of non-subsidy category. Fuel price in other Asian countries is very low. The central government has no interest in reducing the price. Narendra Modi government has proved that they have no commitment towards the people by increasing the price for the eighth day consecutively”, he said.
