THRISSUR: Anupama IAS has set an example in introducing those who stood with her to survive the floods. In her latest Facebook post, she has explained about the activities of T Ayyappadas who took charge as district supply officer of Thrissur when the floods started.
The services of civil supplies officers were made available for the district under the leadership of Ayyappadas. He had issued an order restricting fuel supply for only rescue activities, but he also made sure that cooking gas was available in relief camps. He also distributed stationary items from Supplyco and ration shops. He also delivered medicines from Maveli stores.
“He seized several things from shops owned by shopkeepers who charged huge amount for essential items during floods. The godowns at Adat and Thalore were undertaken by officials led by Ayyappadas for keeping things to be distributed to relief camps”, wrote collector Anupama in her Facebook post.
