PALAKKAD: It has been hinted that CPM is preparing to take strict action against P K Sasi, who is involved in a sexual abuse case alleged by a DYFI woman leader. The state leadership of the party has directed P K Sasi to stay away from party duties. Therefore, Sasi has to stay away from his official duties including his duties as CITU district secretary.

CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had discussed the issue with Palakkad district secretary after it became a controversy.

Meantime, it has been hinted that the investigation commission appointed by the party will record the statement of the woman. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijan who is currently under treatment in the US has called for taking strict action in the issue.
