THIRUVALLA: The police have arrested a thief who had stolen a jeep and Rs 5 lakhs. 48 year old Shibu, resident of Ayiruparambil in Kanjirappalli was arrested by the Thiruvalla police from Theni. He was working in Appu garments in Ettumanoor. The robbery had happened on September 7 in Muthoor. After collecting money by selling the cloths of Appu garments, Shibu and his colleague Rajesh reached Muthoor in a Bolero jeep and stopped the vehicle for drinking tea. Shibu fled the spot with the money and jeep while Rajesh got out of the vehicle. Shibu was later found from Theni in a probe conducted by Thiruvalla police. The vehicle and money have been found from him. He was arrested by a team including sub inspector Ajith Kumar and CPO Arun Gopi led by circle inspector Santhosh Kumar. He was remanded after presenting before the court.
