KOZHIKODE: K Muraleedharan has come forward welcoming the Supreme Court verdict which granted a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to Nambi Narayanan in ISRO spy case. The court has acquitted everyone who was alleged in the spy case. Raman Shreevastava who was also alleged is an advisor to the chief minister now. However, my father K Karunakaran died without getting justice”, said Muraleedharan.

I cannot say whether there is any conspiracy in the spy case. More details regarding this will be revealed when the judicial investigation team interrogates the officers. It is not right to say something based on speculations. Karunakaran was forced to resign by then Prime Minister Narasimha Rao. There were demands by minority to remove Narasimha Rao after Babri Masjid was destroyed. Several people wanted Karunakaran to take charge as the Prime Minister. Rao forced two other people to resign in the name of havala cases. Karunakaran was trapped in the spy case as Rao could not find anything else against him, said Muraleedharan.
