KASARGODE: A municipality officer has been suspended for making remarks against P K Sasi MLA and DYFI leader Jeevan Lal. Muhammed Riyas, office assistant in Kasargode municipality has been suspended by the local administration department.

Post against P K Sasi MLA and DYFI leader appeared on a Whatsapp group named ‘Nagarapalika’. Riyas is the admin of this group. Municipality staff, former staff and councilors are members of this group.

A note about the sexual abuse case against P K Sasi and DYFI leader appeared in group. The note also mentions about party investigation and chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The complaint was lodge by municipality chairman V V Ramesan to local administration department. The complaint states that Riyas acted against service rules. Riyas responded that the complaint against him is baseless and it was politically moved.
