KOCHI: A woman was stabbed to death by her husband at SRM road in Kaloor. The dead has been identified as 35-year-old Sheeba, resident of Ullattil house. Sanju Sulal Seth, her 39-year-old husband who tried to flee the spot after the attack was seized by the police and locals.

The incident took place in Sheeba’s family house in SRM road at 10 pm on Saturday. Sheeba was living with her mother Afsa. Sanju stabbed his wife while he reached the house during the time of namaz. Though some locals reached there hearing cries and brought Sheeba to hospital she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. Afsa is admitted at the Lourde Hospital after she sustained injuries. Sanju was also injured during the attack. He is also under treatment in hospital. Sanju reached Kochi from Gulf two days ago and it is assumed that doubts about his wife resulted in the attack. They have three children.
