Virus is an upcoming mocie directed by Aashiq Abu. It was earlier informed that Kalidas Jayaram will be part of the star cast of ‘Virus’. However, sources close to the actor say that he has opted out of the movie because of his busy schedule. Sreenath Bhasi will replace him in the movie. Kalidas has signed contracts to be part of several films directed by Jeethu Joseph, Alphons Puthran, Mithun Manuel Thomas and Santhosh Sivan. Ashiq Abu’s ‘Virus’ is based on Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala. Fahad Faazil will appear in a guest role in the movie while Tovino Thomas will star as Kozhikkode collector and Rima Kallingal will star as nurse Lini, who died after contracting nipah virus.
