KOZHIKKODE: The police have charged a case against actor Joy Mathew for conducting a march in support of the nun who lodged a sexual abuse complaint against Jalandhar bishop. Joy Mathew had conducted the protest at SM Street in Kozhikode on September 16. Conducting marches and protests in SM Street has been banned by the court and a case was filed since the actor had violated this.

The police have charged case against Johson Mathew, brother of the actor and several others who were identified. They have been charged for conspiring to create a clash and for forming group unjustly.
