MALAPPURAM: The state human rights commission has taken a case in connection with the incident where the residents of an old age home in Thavanur died today. The action is taken based on the media reports. Commission member K Mohankumar has asked the district collector, district police chief and district social justice officer to submit a detailed investigation report within three weeks.

Four residents of old age home in Thavanur, Krishnamohan, Sreedevi Amma, Velayudhan and Kali Amma died Monday morning due to old age-related issues.
