THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Noted violinist Balabhaskar and his family met with an accident Tuesday morning. His daughter Thejaswi Bala was killed in the accident. Balabhaskar and his wife sustained injuries and they are currently under treatment in a private hospital.

The accident happened at Thamarakkulam near Kazhakkoottam at 4:30 am. The innova car in which they were travelling lost control and rammed a tree. Though the baby was immediately taken to hospital, she died on the way. Balabhaskar and his family were returning after visiting Vadakkumnatha temple in Thrissur. It is suspected that the driver may have dozed off.
